Hi Craig,

I'm not sure I'm picturing exactly what you mean but
it sounds intriguing. Are the sticks actually thick
dowels so they won't bend under tension?

Last June I was stuck in the Chicago airport for
several hours fretting I would miss Linda
Hendrickson's class in TW Andean Pebble Weave at
Convergence in Cincinnati. I pulled out a warp I had
(luckily!) prepared to practice the technique. I
attached it around my belt with a T-pin, tied the
opposite end around the sidebar of my chair, turned my
body to face the sidebar, and wove it backstrap style.
The next 5 hours passed quickly and I just made it to
the class, with about a yard woven in this new
technique! The same thing happened on the return trip
and the scenario repeated itself. I was the only one
in the United waiting room who wasn't swearing...Now
when I travel I make it a point to take some TW along.
It also struck up some good conversations!

Good luck to you and hope to hear more about your
frame loom.
