I'm getting about half the posts.  This can be really frustrating - 
especially when it's something that I'm really interested in!!  

Lettered stuff is my favorite... but I have to agree with Thora, I don't 
recall seeing really old pieces (at least, not medieval pieces) that are 
non-Roman letters.  There's some really fine stuff from the far and middle 
East, but I think it's nineteenth century or later.
