Regretably it really does depend on how much they will pay. I sell tableweave
for the re-enacment market (a very small section at that). I normally charge
from 2UKP per foot for simple narrow work. Average price is 2.50UKP per foot
with brocaded at around 5UKP. This hasn't gone up much from when I first
started over 10 years ago and the average price for work was one pound per
foot! Sorry don't know the conversion from the British Pound to anything else.

No, it isn't what I should be charging, but it's a hobby for most people so I
like to keep the prices reasonable.

Try a few simple ones at the lower price and some complicated ones at say
double that with a few in the middle price bracket. Work from that, see which
ones sell quicker. You do need a range of prices anyhow - some work must seem
more desirable than others. Of course you then have the problem that if they go
like hot cakes you may well flood your market too quickly thus cutting off your
income.
