I have sold handwoven belts including some cardwoven one at craft fairs and SCA events for about10 years these are not my big money makers but they do sell. I get from $8 to $15 for them but they take an average of 11/2 to 2 hours to do.I use a thick filler to make the belts pattern larger and the texture more substantial . As to is it trealy handmade? I generaly bring a card or beltloom with me and demonstrate as I sell. This draws a crowd, and often will get a reduced price or even a free table at many events. wear your 20 hour belts yourself and let it be know you do "costom work" too. but plan to sell simpler patterns in thicker threads. You can also make more per bannd if you use them as neckbands ,hair bands, and as trim on sewn items like hand bags pouchhs ect. To make money at this you must buy large cones of weavers yarn at discoun. I try not to spen more than 5 or 6 dollars a lb. for the cottons or rayons and about 10 per lb on the metalics.I have also done some items using al space dyed multicolor yyarn and an all white large filler makes a very interesting band and very quiccck and easy to weave. I run dye workshops a few times a year and dye large amounnts of fiber, yarn and fabric at each so it's no additoinal work for me. .I find the best sellers are red, black and gold or silver and blue whhtie black and a metalic as well.. Purple and blue with metalics also do well here. Least popular are yellows and oranges in anything.
