Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & Techniques Reading back over this, I realize I wasn't clear on the warp: it's half black, half white in the sense that each tablet is threaded with the two threads closest to the weaver (AD, I think) being white and the two furthest from the weaver being black (BC). I use cheap crochet cotton. I thread them all one direction; it's easy enough to flip them around later for special effects. I don't start out with warp-twined borders, although I do explain them and show how that works. I figure one pack going one direction is plenty for the first few minutes!
