This has to do with the application I'm programming to. Some work
disconnected. Some don't

Subject: RE:[talkbws] using vm servers

One does not have to be logged into the server just have the script
displaying on the screen for that VM if the script is scheduled and one
does not have to be logged in. If it is not scheduled it is best to
stay logged in.

Multiple people can have access to the VM but that is to the setup by
your network/system admin. I have no part of that for it is beyond me
or my job responsibilities.

Just make sure you have enough of a CPU for speed. For a light script
(say not dealing with more than 2 screens and say 5 to 10 fields and
script size say is under 10 to 15 steps) 2.8Mhz and 512MB of memory
otherwise is good otherwise use a 3.2Mhz for a larger more involve
script and at least twice the amount of memory.

Subject: [talkbws] using vm servers

Hi,

We are trying to set up a VM server to run our scripts. Has anyone
successfully done this? Do you have to stay logged in to the server?
Multiple people share the duties of babysitting the scripts, so this
could be an issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,
