We already had a VM server set up. We “virtualized” 2 PC’s onto it. We
communicate only with the PC’s as though they still existed as free standing
boxes.

We have several vm servers running. A service account is setup and left
logged in. We use the VMware VSphere client to access. Each of the scripts
writes to a remote/centralized log so I don’t have to check the consoles
daily, I can view the log to see what is going on.

Just be aware of the multiple cpu pitfall to avoid with vmware.

Hi,

We are trying to set up a VM server to run our scripts. Has anyone
successfully done this? Do you have to stay logged in to the server?
Multiple people share the duties of babysitting the scripts, so this could
be an issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,
