Re: Open Book has its own built in speech. You can not use Window Eyes with it. Only advantage to using Open Book is in my opinion a better user interface versus off the shelf OCR programs. I have encouraged GW over the years to produce a App which would work to inprove the UI of Fine reader or Omni page and maybe just maybe they could make Open Book a poor choice.

OmniPage has had the AutoDirection feature for quite a few years. Abby does not have the same quality on this matter, at least in version 9 - cannot speak for later versions.
