Hi vaughan I have simular problems.
I find We 9.1 a nightmare on my win 7 desktop machine.
I find We stops talking every time I use computer the short cut alt control
w some times brings We back not always.
And every time I reply to an email with WLM We stops talking.
It will not focus on the email it says browse mode is not available.
I have to shut WE down and restart.
And speeking of that problem it just happend while typing this email so I
gave up and now am running NBVDA to finish this email.
It has got to the point where We is nearly un useable on this system.
But on my windows 8.1 laptop WE runs very well I very rearly get a crash.
Cheers Michael
We off and restart and after a while We does read enough for me to reply to
mail.
I find I get IE 11 nearly every time say its not responding and WE crash

I have two contrasting experiences with version 9.1.
On my 8.1. 64 bit machines, 9.1 has proven to be the most stable of
Window-Eyes releases. I do experience some problems with the rewrite of
browser support, where lines are repeated and some inconsistencies exist
with links loading, but Window-Eyes has not crashed on these machines.
On my workstation at work, which is Windows 7 32 bit professional,
Window-eyes is not a happy customer. Much of this is dues to the various
security applications we are layered with - they don't allow Window-eyes to
install properly, and they have not updated Internet Explorer. Corporate
firewalls prevent app updating and the sending of crash reports. Excel is a
very sour lemon. There is no AI Squared support for us in New Zealand, so
we pay for a product which includes services we don't get. I have always
known this, and the choice to purchase is voluntary.
On balance - given the progress that Window-eyes 9.1 made over version 8.4,
I am hopeful that the next release will be a leaps and bounds progression.
It needs to be, as for me at least, it is not a producgt which is robust
enough to deal with commercial/corporate installations over which the end
user has no control. For me as the home user, I prefer Window-Eyes over
NVDA, as the domestic experience is generally positive.
Vaughan.

This WE-9.1 is the crashiest WE version ever. I don't even have to be on the
web for it to completely go silent. Doing the hot key almost never brings it
back up, so I have to reboot the computer from the button on the tower.
Please fix this folks.

Hello,
I am not Happy with my New 9.1. I have given it time and me time to learn
to use it properly, but going on the Web is almost a for sure Circus where I
am forced to slowly use the Up and Down Arrows. And even then, it doesn't
take much at all for the program to lose its way. Often going completely
quiet.
I am not sure what New way the Folks at Window eyes has come up with to
Browse the web, but this New way needs an Update.
I have had one of the Tech Support Staff check out my system and he said
everything looked Good. But, if I go and use the Web, I almost always have
the system lock up, or go quiet. Sometimes it is hard to tell which has
actually happened. Forcing a reload of Window Eyes usually does not work.
I can press ALT, CTRL and W, and Nothing happens.
So, is there a 9.2 update coming any time soon? I use the web almost every
day, and I keep needing to use my old XP system with 8.4.
Dave
