If you have the IE Enhance app the notification bar progress can speak automatically, use tones, or both.

Open the Window-Eyes control panel, Alt-A Apps, arrow up to IE Enhance options, right arrow to open it, and again on Notification bar options.

If you had 3 downloads in progress and tried for a fourth, that is the
problem. BARD only allows 3 simultaneous downloads.

As another list member mentioned, you can open up the IE downloads dialog.
Alternatively, if you don't need spoken progress notifications, you can hear
the download progress in the notification bar by pressing the Insert-N hot
key combination with your pinky on the insert key and your six-inch long
index finger on the n key(Who comes up with these default hot key
combinations anyway?).

Using I.E. 11 and having the same issue. Got three books and the fourth got

hung up at 56%. Probably just a temporary glitch.

Subject: Bard Question

Yesterday, I could download a book from the Bard site, in about a minute
or less. Today it took over ten minutes. Using Firefox and W.E. 9.2.
Any ideas why? I went to I.E., but couldn't figure how to watch the
percentage, as there wasn't any indication of time or percent.
