There is a slider in the Tools> Options> Rip page that lets you adjust the
file size/ quality. You can adjust the slider with the arrow keys, but you
need to use the WE mouse to read what changes you have made. As to where the
MP3 encoder came from, I haven't a clue.

Just curious. What encoder does WMP use for ripping to .mp3 files these 
days, and at what bit and sampling rate. Do you actually have any 
options the way you do when using either Anyburn or CDEX, both of which 
use the LAME encoder?
