Just curious. What encoder does WMP use for ripping to .mp3 files these days, and at what bit and sampling rate. Do you actually have any options the way you do when using either Anyburn or CDEX, both of which use the LAME encoder?

This should not be difficult at all using WMP. Before ripping the cd onto
your hard drive, while in Media Player, press Alt-T for tools, O for
options. Shift tab to the tab controls and right arrow to the rip tab
control. Now tab to the format combo box and select MP three. Tab to OK and
press Enter.

   I've been trying to convert a CD to mp3 format using Windows media
