One thing some people may have forgotten or were not on board with WE
early enough was thay they also charged extra for pro versions of
Window-Eyes. It seems to me that it was at least $100 more than the
standard version because I did not have pro and a friend did. When the
time came that I needed pro, I did have to find the money to do so. The
difference between the two companies is that all upgrades cost the same
for WE and JFW charges more for the pro version upgrades.

I don't get calling a company such silly names. I have always wished
that they would be subscription based. You will spend the same money
but in smaller bites.
It's understandable that subscriptions aren't for everyone. When
Microsoft started such programs, I don't recall calling their approach
the names that you call Freedom Scientific.
Plus, we all forget that, as great as Window-Eyes was, they simply were
running out of money.
