Worth remembering if you're sending via BT Yahoo! You have to use authenticated smtp so your username and password have to be entered in the out going server section.
For example on my E71 I go into Messaging, then Settings. Then e-mail. Choose your mail box and select edit. Choose out-going e-mail. Make sure your username and password are entered here. Steps may be different for your phone, I've not got access to an N86 to try, but I hope the above may give you a pointer. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Eleanor Burke Sent: 06 September 2010 20:42 To: Talks Mailing List Subject: Re: [Talks] BT yahoo email. Something like that Bernard. I have to save David I really was not clear from your discription just what was going on so finding it difficult to advise more. I was wondering if the access point was giving some problem but it appeared that the messages were downloading OK to the phone except for his test message. I would wonder if the test message did not arrive, if he was at the computer and had his e-mail Outlook or whatever open. This would account for his test e-mail not arriving as it would have gone straight to his Outlook Inbox.
