That depends on what service provider youa re connecting to if it will be turned on or not. That also depends on if you are using pop over IMap and if you have to give it a dummy address so taht you can then configure the account acording to how you have it setup to be accessed. So saying the N86 does it by default isn't all the way true at all. IE I use GMail and I have it setup to use POP but the phone set it up as IMap. I had to delete the account being wants the phone set it up as IMap it wouldn't let me change it to pop. so I had to give it a dummy address and it couldn't verify it and hten let me select what type of accoutn it was. This was true for the E66 as well and other newer phones. I see no reason why it would be any different for the E72/E75.
