Wow that stinks; I’ve done several things like that. One time way back
when I got my pointer finger on my frettin' hand caught in a large
motorcycle size sprocket and chain. Split the end of my finger in
half, pretty ugly. Luckily no long term damage and hardly think about
it cept for stories like these.

Sunday night I also had a scary experience.......

We have 5 little 65lb piglets going to get "cut" and for those of you
who don't know what I mean, I can explain later...anyway they're free
range piggies and catching them is an adventure and in the process I
hyper-extended my thumb on my left(frettin) hand. Man oh man, I
thought it was broken but I dodged a bullet again and all's well in
pig-land, except that before the guy could cut the pigs on monday a.m.
one escaped and was back with mama and our cutting guy could only get
1 of the remaining 4 done cause the another guy holding the non-
business end was turning green. I've been in his shoes before and its
not a pretty sight, honestly can't blame him for getting queasy.

Hope the hand gets better quick and the alcohol will help with the
gig...

good luck with the job.
