Oof, it's no fun getting hurt on the hands as a player. Years ago in college I got the very tip of my left index finger cut off on one side in a freak door accident. In those days I was a classical guitarist and had to study a whole semester with only the three fingers. I'll say this--I could do trills with that pinky by the time they took the splint and bandages off. Can't anymore tho.
