Actually yes you are. Maybe not technically but having been unsubscribed
from the mygrid internal list since I left it's striking how little of
the process escapes your office. There is *no* discussion between the
devs on the mailing lists in the last few months regarding the design or
implementation of the code. I'm not counting responses to questions,
those should happen as a matter of course, I'm talking about an open and
ongoing discussion about what you're building.

It's not rocket science - you move from a project spread across many
sites to a project with all the developers in a room together, most of
the discussion moves to an internal (unarchived) mailing list and voila,
closed community. There's more to being an open source project than
having an open source license, or at least there should be.

Seriously - if you don't believe me get someone in Manchester to unsub
from the mygrid list, not come into work for a couple of weeks and not
talk to the other devs face to face or on private email and tell me how
well that person feels in touch with the project. I struggled with this
for the last year and for someone who's only access to the development
process is this list it's just not working.

Um, which previous emails would these be? The last one in your* archive
that mentions google code is on the user list (um...) last October. If
we've changed repositories I'd really quite like to know, I have a bunch
of fixes here (not that I can check them in without agreeing to a CLA
I'm not prepared to agree with, but at least I can get the new code...)

Tom

*your rather than our as I seem to have been censored from the mygrid
website ;) I mean, come on guys, don't I even get a mention in the
'former members' section? I did write most of the thing!
