The problem is horrible. I've seen the results before (mostly
affecting you) and I do remember being hit by it on a couple of
occasions myself, but only in the way Januk describes it. In that
scenario, no reply is being written when the new message arrives. It
is the multiple selection of the message you were reading and the new
message that has arrived that causes confusion.

I have been trying for the past two hours to replicate this bug and I
can't. I'm just trying again with folder view having had no luck
making it happen using the main window Preview.
I go into a folder, press reply and start making edits and entries. I
leave the edit window on screen and wait for another message to arrive
and get filtered to the folder. It arrives and I see no change in the
message I'm editing.
I'm not quite sure where to leave the cursor - in the preview or in
the message list. There are a lot of variables here. We need a 100%
"this is how to make it happen" formula. If we can get that, then
there's a great chance of getting it fixed - quickly!
