It's a thought, but pretty convoluted. I can't see it happening as
frequently as it manifests itself for Nick if that was the
prerequisite.

What confuses me is Nick's insistence that it happens *after* a reply
has already been started. Press reply. Start typing. Message arrives.
Current work in progress changes under your very nose without you
realising. It seems so far-fetched a sequence and I'm still waiting
for someone else to say "That's exactly how it effect me too".

Something clearly is going wrong and it is very embarrassing. I don't
think that RIT can do anything about it until we come up with a recipe
for the disaster in question.
