I'm beginning to wonder if the problem occurs when you hit reply during
the filtering process. This could indeed create confusion. I distinctly
remember the bug striking when the folder is busy, in that new messages
are frequently arriving while I'm working in the folder. It's possible
that a new message could be being dynamically added to the list while
you're generating the reply.
