I gave up on the "Norton AV 20xx" line a few years ago, as the interface became stranger and obviously more bloated. I just went out and got the corporate, which is a much more old fashioned (uncluttered) interface, and very straightforward. First bit of problems I've had with it. But, it does quarantine, which is important, and equally important, it backs up anything it quarantines to yet another location. So, it can cause a bit of a hassle like today, but this was the first time, and indeed it did identify dangerous files, which is its job, and no data was lost.
