RvdH>> Some of us have been waiting for a full working IMAP version for a long RvdH>> time. Remember: it was promised for 2.0 (including Newsgroup support as RvdH>> well, if I remember correctly).
yes, it was promised.
As well as UNICODE was promised for version 2!!!
There were a -lot- of promises made. We didn't pay for version two because it was superior to version 1! It's funny how RIT works, version 2 was the same as version 1. What it came with were promises -- all sorts of promises for version 2 that have yet to be realized. I wouldn't be so sore about version 3 coming out if I didn't still feel like version 2 was an unreliable pseudo-release.
Here's an idea: Make TB do what it's supposed to do when it's supposed to. Treat your current customers well and give NEW customers reason to jump in. It really bothers me that loyal users are punished for their loyalty--expected to pay more money whenever RIT is short on cash or has a whim to up the version number.
I've been a loyal user since '97, often times just blatantly ignoring the outcry against RIT's methods -- but this is just too much. I bought 2.0 in good faith, I'm not making that mistake again. There are free programs out there that are more sensibly operated and more thoroughly bug-fixed. Sad state of affairs.
