Hi Maxim,

I have been silent, and I have NOT downloaded betas for a long time, but I
feel the need to give you my 2 cents about this:

I believe you when you say that you want to make the IMAP support perfect,
but you (Ritlabs) are (is) sending the wrong message here by switching from
a 2.xx beta to 3.0 beta in the middle of this process and by adding the new
registration scheme.

Some of us have been waiting for a full working IMAP version for a long
time. Remember: it was promised for 2.0 (including Newsgroup support as
well, if I remember correctly).

Now you want to move to 3.0 and still haven't finished it, and there is
also no timeframe.

But in the meantime you have added tons of other things (like NFS, Virtual
Folders, Chat folders, Rogues etc). Nice to have, but some of us were
waiting for something different.

Also some of the older bugs have still not been solved.

I remember a message here from 9Val a couple of months ago in this list in
which he said that it was 'no fun to just fix bugs'. I understand that
perfectly well, I am a software developer myself, and I like to do new
stuff as well.

But I have also learned that you need to listen very carefully to your
loyal clients, because they are the ones that can make or break your
product.

Please reconsider the change to 3.0 and the new licensing scheme (assuming
that you want people to pay for their upgrades). Finish the IMAP stuff
first and fix the more serious bugs before you start adding new stuff.

As far as I am concerned you can forget the newsreader stuff. I have other
ways to get these messages in tb, but maybe others disagree with me on
this?
