Yes, this has been a bug since 1.0, I think. There's something severely rotten in The Bat's socket code, it sometimes gets 'stuck' on a connection that actually timed out ages ago. Then nothing helps but the good old "kill" from Task Manager... :( Btw, I think I read something from 9Val about the socket code having been rewritten; did any of the 3.0.9.x alpha/3.5 rc testers notice any effects already?
