Sometimes  Windows  is slow on start-up, I could manage to make it a bit
faster  by giving the network adapter a fixed IP. But here, TB has a bad
influence on my machine's manners :-\  And one more thing I noticed:
sometimes -no idea what is causing this- TB terminates the Internet
connection, despite no such option is ticked.
