I get them from time to time from a friend who uses Apple Mail; in her case, they happen only when she's FWDing a message. Like Matt, I've just been ignoring them. If one clicks on them, one simply sees the text of the forwarded message. (Same effect as clicking on the Opera mail attachment symbol in my sister's OE HTML messages.) I don't know how to do that Unix mailbox thing though.
