Well, I started programming 22 years ago, and some our very first
programmes were written with Edlin. :-( I had no idea that a free
caret (the "claret" typo in my other mail might have had to do with
too much wine <g>) even existed. So, instead of wearing out my space
bar in Pascal programmes (no, not Turbo - long before that), I would
have *loved* this feature for indenting. ;-)
As a programmer, I don't understand why you would not appreciate the
virual space????
