Wow!  That was easy.  I did exactly as the above paragraph
suggests and in seconds, I'm once again running v4.2.44.2.
Everything seems to be where it should be.  I don't think
I'll be so quick to upgrade in the future.

Thank you Alto and Si.  Alas, if only all tech support were
this good.
