Hi Miguel,

On Friday, June 30, 2000, 5:51:51 PM, you wrote in part about "Mail
Dispatcher - deleting files":

Ahh, gotcha now ... I understand. However, It takes the dispatcher
the same amount of time to filter through whether it be one message or
150. As you know it must go through all messages on the ISP, if I am
not mistaken.

I was thinking as to even the various OSs and Servers, and I cannot
think of any mail transfer agent or mail user agent on any OS that
would allow this type of selective downloading type filter, certainly
not in the winders OS. Some mail transfer agents in other OSs, i.e.
procmail (UNIX / Linux), may allow you to select by many options
and/or criteria (although, have not checked on your specific
criteria), but all would still have to go through the entire message
base stored on the POP server anyway.

Even so, typically in the morning, i.e, I usually have 120 to 260+
messages waiting, and it only takes TB! a minute or less to retrieve
the headers. So you have the distinct advantage of being able to
click away and see any header on the dispatcher anyway. No?
