Isn't it funny that Agent solved this years ago in what I would call
the near-perfect solution?
The "limited header" mode is akin to the little bar between the
message and the message list, but it actually shows the headers at the
top of the message. However, if you're only interested in To:, From:,
CC:, and Subject:, it only shows those, but it shows those fully (and
wrapped at screen width.
Agent also solved the attachment issue that we seem to have. Why not
just display the attachments inline with icons representing where they
are?
For instance, say I attached something right here:
___
/ \
| x |
| x |
\___/
attach.ex
...is what it looks like.
What's the problem with that implementation? I suppose some would
argue that there's no quick way to know if a message has an attachment
(since it could be scrolled off the screen), but to that I submit that
there's an icon in the message list anyway indicating this fact.
