In my experience, that is unusual for Windows. The predominate
number of applications I know of allow multiple selection in a
listbox(I assume that the Mail Dispatcher is not using a list
listbox, but instead is rolling its own listbox and just does not
include this functionality)

I don't find it useless, for me. But then, I get 20-30 messages
in a day. For my wife, its useless. Basically, its not designed
with a large scale number of messages in mind.

As an aside, you can find a number of tools similiar to the mail
dispatcher on Tucows. They allow multiple selection of messages,
filtering rules to delete spam and other garbage on the server
before downloading it, etc. Of course, then the question is why
not use those tools? Because then I have to register yet another
program, and The Bat is just soooo close to what I want that I'd
prefer to see if mentioning the need may encourage the developers
to implement this feature, but then I don't program UI's(hate
them hate them hate them!) and use widgets by others when I have
to, so I have no clue how difficult this is.
