It has been confirm by the US authorities that the facility at Bad
Aibling is manned by security-cleared US personnell and that the
facility is used for spying on private telephone / telex / email
communications (was in Der Spiegel in June or July this year). They
confirm it is part of Echelon.
They say they only spy on Africa traffic at this facilty, but nobody
believes them.
