Well, what I do in such cases is:
1) Ask the person politely to send to me mail in plain text only.
2) Remind them of the request when they fail to cooperate and explain
that, with nearly 1gb of mail, if all mails were 3 to 4 times the
size because I allowed people to send HTML mail I would be overrun.
3) If that person still ignored my requests, I would instate a filter
which auto-replied to any HTML messages from this individual using
a template like this:
