A number of people evaluating TB! (mostly IT professionals from the
US), have pointed out that some of TB!s paradigms are NOT consistent
with some of those fostered by B. Gates & Co., and seemed to assume
that this was somehow wrong. If their desire was to correct, their
presumptions and condescension were offensive or silly to some
(many, really) TB! users.

Windows is a fact, since 3rd party developers have chosen to support
it, above and beyond any other OS to date (hopefully this will
change some day). However, unlike some software companies, RITLabs
(among others) seems to have directed it's attention to a niche
market of what many believe are more exacting users, that are willing
to pay the price of a steeper leaning curve w/ many commands in
exchange for enhanced elegance, greater control and a degree of
power that windows users in general haven't seen before.
Then again, much of the non M$ software available seems to be
directed at either correcting, compensating for or improving on
Windoze's shortcomings. Mr. Gates himself has recognized this, as
demonstrated by having bought (or tried to buy) out a considerable
number of them.
For me, the worst of html is the bloat; unneeded, unwanted and
unsolicited, taking up bandwidth, slowing downloads and jamming disk
space. Perhaps the same could said regarding posts w/ comments made
only half seriously, with little forethought. But that's harder to
define and still harder to influence. In any case, each windoze
user's opinion carries as much weight as that of any other M$ OS
user.
The above is still just one man's opinion, stated for the benefit of
any who find truth in it, and nothing more.
