Hello Lars & other Batmen & women following this TB! thread,
Saturday, December 30, 2000, you stated regarding :
LEB> I have tried to use the filter action "extract attached files to the
LEB> specified directory" but it didn't seem to work at all. I have this
LEB> fellow sending me mails in multipart/alternative format, and I'd love
LEB> to have that HTML-part ditched with a minimum of manual effort.
Like collecting them all in one directory.
LEB> Any suggestions?
What follows won't help if you want to keep the non-html part. In that
case, I suggest asking the sender to refrain from sending you html
mail. (Get to the source of the problem).
(And I'll need to upgrade in order to try out the newer filtering
actions. I see that v. 1.48h is now out).
However, if you want none of it, filtering on the sender w/ delete
message as the action, or sending the message to the trash folder,
and checking the delete attached file when messages are deleted from
trash folder (account preferences / files & directories), might help
- but that's far from automatic and not what you probably want.
You probably already have html autoview unchecked, in Options.
I hope someone else can come up w/ something closer to what you're
looking for.
