I agree, this is what I use too. In a previous post, I seem to
remember another command that you could put at the top of your backup
batch file to close The Bat if you forgot to shut it down. I have a
daily backup to run at 3 AM and I know sooner or later I am going to
forget to exit The Bat before I go to bed.

If I remember right, wasn't it c:\thebat\thebat.exe /exit? And I
assume that if it is _not_ running it will have no affect, correct?
