Yes that is the case within my company. I can make the techs use
whatever I desire. Email programs though are kind of like shoes, or a
pair of gloves. Horrible analogy I know. But you HAVE to allow these
people to use what feels best to them. My wife uses The Bat! and loves
it, but she simply sends email. Nothing fancy, deletes the messages
after she is done with them. In my job, I get so much mail, that
archiving is the only way to stay afloat. So The Bat! fits in my mind
set.
Clients are another beast entirely. I have no control over what they
use, but many are fed up with the many and varied viruses that seem to
populate the Outlook world.
