Well, may I respectfully suggest that you use them whether or not you
like them :-)? This is what they're very good for.

Make a quick template that contains your generic template in its
entirety (or one each for New message, Reply and Forward).

No change your five account templates for the *last time* to contain
only '%QINCLUDE="TH"' without the 's and where "TH" is the handle of
the quick template you want to use.

The way the main templates work does not change, but whenever you need
to change the way they look, you only have to change the quick
template once and it changes all five accounts at once.
