Don't you have to customise the templates for every account you create
anyway? I do. It's pretty easy to replace a template with a
%QINCLUDE="XX" - easier than it is to edit the whole thing over and
over.

No. If you believe that then why are you wasting your time changing
the templates from the default ones to start with? Quick Templates
make the whole thing sensible, not stupid.

I don't understand your criticism. A quick template is the same as an
ordinary template but stored in an more accessible and easy to use
form.
