Hello Gerard,

But what's your problem?
Look at your messages and their MIDs ... They're '@myrealbox.com'. You see
the scheme? The Message-ID is generated from

'random-string.datetime@domain_of_e-mail-address'

And that's one of the few ways this could be done.
The requirement to a MID is: it must be unique.
So if The Bat! would use a fixed, user independent, string instead of
domain name the chances duplicate MIDs are generates would raise
significantly.
The RFCs describing e-mail-messages state the MID has to be build from a
concrete scheme, which includes a FQDN (full qualified domain name) after
the '@' to _avoid_ dups. So The Bat! is doing what it is requested and if
you use a personal domain, instead of an ISP given, everybody will be able
to do the WHOIS lookup just from 'From:' and he does not even need to look
for the MID.

If your concerns are only about the newly created MID when redirecting:

1.) Yes, I'd welcome it too, if The Bat! would handle a 'Redirect' like
'mutt' does handle a 'bounce', but that's something for v2 or later.
2.) What's your problem? One redirected message containing your domain,
albeit you've already sent our hundreds or thousands of messages
containing it in 'From:' _AND_ 'MID'? C'mon ... I just get even more
out of this redirected message: your exact location (with a chance of
90% upwards). From 'Received:' header, on which The Bat! has _no_
    influence.

So please don't compare a domain name in a Mesasge-ID, present there
because RFC enforces it, with the personal data
MacroSoft-(I'm out of)-Words inserts into documents.
Theres a _really huge_ difference between both :-)

P.S.: How's the weather around Amsterdam? :-)
