This list *can* seem very high-tech, & *can* be very busy, but if you
do what I did (and still do) it's extremely helpful. I immediately
delete anything that goes over my head (eg anything on RegEx) or
anything that doesn't interest me (eg discussions on PGP). From what's
left, I find that not only are my questions answered, but I also find
out about ways to do things that are much more simple or useful, and
features I never knew existed. If I were referring a fairly
computer-illiterate person here, I'd suggest they delete heavily &
only read as much as they're comfortable with. They'll soon find that
they're understanding more of the posts here :-)
