I bought TB! 6 months ago in the hope to get some updates. But it turned out I only got a few minor updates for my money. Now I have the choice to stick with v2 or pay for v3 Surely I would like a free V3.... But is it realistic? The majority is using Outlook. The rest of the users is divided among the many other e-mail clients. They need to sell 1000 copies to get a years salary for 1 person. Without upgrade fees RitLabs needs to attract 1000 new customers a year to pay one salary. But surely they need a lot more because RitLabs is more then 1 person and has all kind of overhead costs. A different way to look at thinks I think :-) I'm to new to give well founded judgement on it but is TB! getting bigger all the time? A bit oversimplified but the software industry has 2 camps. One bloatware. Big program size, fat icons, animated junk. One techy. Like TB! Lets take Norton as an example. They made quality software 10-15 years ago. Now it's just pure bloated buggy junk. That's probably partly because todays programmer can't/aren't allowed to program as good as a decade ago. IMO they have gone down because of their own success (and greed) And it's not just Norton. Imagine v1 of a program that outclasses the completion. The program gets improved and v2 is released.. But at a certain point the program has everything that's useful. Then most companies go on the bloatware path. Add fat graphics, animated stuff, and useless gadgets. IMO TB! made it's 1st step in that direction with the new icons and promise of skins. Just my thought anyway. Tip for EU customers. Pay with $ not Euro. It saves you 20% -- Best regards, Tony ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.00.00 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
