Good evening Tom, It was foretold that on 7/05/2006 @ 17:00:05 GMT+1000 (which was 9:00:05 where I live) Tom would write: <snipped a bit>
T> This seems easy enough but in the forum I also read that if the two pc T> have different registry paths, this may not completely work or editing T> the registry may be required (something I am very scared of). T> Can anyone comment in particular to the recent version. i just went through the proces: installing on a new pc, going from w2k to XP and installing a newer version of TB! Good news first: no problem what so ever. Steps i followed: - made a backup ---> tools - exported the registry tree of the ritlabs folder: run regedit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, folder software, into that folder look for the folder RIT. Rightclick on the folder and choose "export". On the new machine: -install TB! -restore the backup (tools) -close TB! -doubleclick on the exported registry file Done. I had no problems, although it might not be textbook ... but it worked for me perfectly -- Best regards, Luc http://www.dzinelabs.com ------------------------------------------- Powered by The Bat! version 3.80.03 with Windows XP (build 2600), version 5.1 Service Pack 2 and using the best browser: Opera.
