Greetings!
I'm the Senior Technical Writer at Sundance Digital, a part of Avid. I've been here for about 20 months. I have a Master's in Tech Writing from the University of North Texas. Previously, I've been many things from an office monkey to an Arabic Linguist in the US Marine Corps. The one thing they all had in common is that at some time in each job someone pointed to me and said, "She can write! Have her do it!"
Oddly enough, I've been aiming at becoming a Tech Writer since I was a Senior in high school. You can thank my grandfather for that inspiration. You'll probably hear more about him from me; he's been both a guidepost and a warning sign. ;)
Outside of tech writing, my hobbies include writing, reading, vocabulary, linguistics... Yes, I like words. I've been accused of being a poet, songwriter, and even filker (I'm still in denial). I have other hobbies of the arts-and-crafts sort, but I won't burden you with those (this time).
I'm 32, single, and my only 'kids' are two cats named Bauble (male black DSH) and Trinket (female flamepoint DSH).
So there you are. And here I am.
