I think that the Wikipedia model is a good one - the idea is to make it a repository of our accumulated knowledge, presented in a more formal way.
For example, one of the things we keep saying on the various lists is "this has been covered before, check the archives". The reason people aren't checking the archives is because they have to dig through a lot of stuff to get to the meat - the meat can be presented cleanly in the wiki. For example, I just answered a question for someone on the other list about how controls should be presented in documentation. A wiki article would make this easier. The wiki could centralize and archive a lot of useful information, such as the HAT matrix, useful books and websites, etc, and be done in a much more responsive way than a website can be updated.
