There is nothing stopping the discussion of expansive ideas now other
than people not doing it and adding a different medium is not going
to result in people becoming different.

Remember, to discuss expansive ideas, you have to have people with
expansive thoughts. What happens instead is that you have two
discussion killers:

- those who cannot see beyond discussing periods and spaces will
start to get impatient
-those who trie REAL hard to get offended by something.

They will then start to interject that the discusion is going on for
too long or that they've been offended and their feathers have been
ruffled. I guess that since they don't have interest in it, nobody
else should.
