But you're not quitting early...you're done for the day :-) (Or you've
done your 9 hrs for the day. Or your 45 hrs this week. Or your 16 hrs
in two days. Or whatever works. Just don't use "early" ;-) )

My normal work schedule is 7 am to 3 pm, so that I can get Critter Guy
from school and off to whatever he's doing that day. (He has a life,
and he needs a chauffeur ;-).)
