As far as conferences go, this is an incredibly-reasonably priced
conference that will cover many issues relevant to help authoring and
good documentation practices. The cost of the conference is only $150
for a full day of session (including lunch). The "catch" is that it is
in Israel - but hotel accomodations are incredibly reasonable as well -
less than $100 per night. Anyone coming from outside Israel is invited
to join organized tours with me and the guest presenters! This is a
great opportunity to attend an exciting, challenging conference in your
field...and visit a beautiful country at the same time. I would be more
than happy to assist in making hotel accomodations and arranging
transportation to and from the airport (and I'll be leading a tour to
various parts of the country in the days leading up to the conference).

Conference will be held Thursday, January 18 at the Jerusalem Convention
Center, conveniently located right across the street from the new
Central Bus Station, at the entrance to Jerusalem. The conference is
being hosted by Techshoret - the Israel technical writers' email list
(www.techshoret.com).

Guest presenters are our own Peter Grainge and Rick Stone! The official
announcement follows:
