Definitely.  I got my last three jobs through postings on Dice.com.

There's no way to post your resume to indeed.com; they are a pure
search site that scrapes the contents of help wanted listings from
other sites and makes them available to searchers.

Companies that *do* claim to post your resume to a bunch of different
job boards are either a waste, a scam or some combination of the two.
Pick the relevant boards to post your resume to (typically Dice,
Monster, and whatever local boards might be useful) and do that
yourself.

personal phone number up on my Web page for years

I have never received a single unwanted contact because of this, but a
few people from my past (people I was happy to hear from!) were able
to find me that way.
